John led the service and David preached the sermon. David Thomas read the Gospel. We were entertained afterwards by the small local congregation which included Nellie Lawton and Marion Blakemore, our second cousins, who are still living in the Mow Cop area.
Dad's birthplace, Rose Cottage (now called 12 Mow Cop Road) was then a tiny 3-roomed house.
