Maer church, nr Market Drayton

My great-great-great-grandfather James Patrick (1786-1845) married Jane Myatt in this church on February 16 1807. His fourth child, William (my great-great-grandfather) was born in Maer Moss village nearby in March 1811 and baptised here. On January 29 1839 at this same church, Charles Darwin married Emma Wedgwood, the daughter of Josiah Wedgwood, the pottery-owner and local lord of the manor.
